Today was an interesting day at school. For one I�m up at school early in order to work on a project that none in my group had an idea where our notebook was. Well it was at school. So I was up there an hour before school starts working on it and it was due today. Luckily do to an assembly we had we didn�t get to present it so tomorrow is another day. The assembly was interesting. It was about Drunk Driving. No one knew about it but student council. Dr. Moody got over the loud speaker instructing all students to go out on to the stadium for an assembly about some students who were involved in an accident. Well when we got there, there were two cars covered in tarp. Well after all were seated, we heard behind us in the stadium box a radio dispatcher dispatching some information about an accident. Than about two minutes later if that it took that long, police cars, fire trucks and ambulance came. And soon enough a helicopter arrived. They pulled the other guy (Jake) out of the car he was fine but the cops arrested him for drunk driving. They pulled Tamara out of the car she was badly injured and well, they used a body bag for Amelia. (It was all an act; no one died or got arrested) But this is going on all week, while sitting in Advisement today they had images from the hospital on how Tamara was doing. And I over heard that they would have a funeral for Amelia on Friday at the school. They are doing all this before prom because of the accidents that does go on from drinking and driving of under age students. I personally thought this act was a smart thing that they have done. I�m hopping it will hit those people who will be deciding to drink this weekend because every year someone does get into an accident. But that was interesting and I�m looking forward to the following events. Lucky people get to miss school because of this, treating this like a real thing too. |
